Heating your steak stones can be done in the oven for about half an hour. If it’s under the grill, it is about 30 to 35 minutes and if it is on a stove or electric heater it should be heated for about 20 minutes tops. The heat of the steak stone will not go higher than the normal temperature of the oven or heater. This means that if the maximum temperature is 240°f and the stone is heated for about 5hours, it will still remain at 240°f. To check if your steak stone if hot enough after heating, place a spoon of water on the stone. If it is hot enough, the water will immediately evaporate after 10 seconds. But if it does not sizzle and evaporate, the stone should be heated for another 5 minutes and the test should be repeated. And of course,you can use infrared thermometer to test the actual temperature of the stone.

1) Before cooking is done, you should wash your steak stone in a clean water or just wipe it with clean towel.
2) The stones should be heated before use- follow the guidelines very closely.
3) When it is fully heated, carefully apply cooking oil on the stone. We recommend rubbing it in with a kitchen cloth but you should be very careful when doing this because the stone is very hot at this time.
4) After oiling, the stone is placed comfortably in the steel tray which is already positioned in the bamboo base. Any protective sheet that is in the steel should be removed before use.
5) It is highly recommended to use an oven glove for your safety especially when handling the steak stone. Make sure that the oven gloves are able to withstand the temperature of the stone no matter the temperature you put it.
6) When that is done, the stone is ready, you have prepared the supplementary sides and sauce, place your desired meat or fish on the headed stone and it will start to sizzle immediately. The dry heat from the point of contact will go inside the meat through the incision you have made on the meat. And if you like your stake better cooked, you can cut it into smaller bits so that the meat can be cooked thoroughly.
7) If you prefer your steak rear, the steak will stay rear inside for about 20 minutes giving you that enjoyable delicious rush just the way you like it with every bit as delicious as the first.
8) A properly heated stone will hiss when water is added to it for about 20-30 minutes by this implication, it will still be cooking for about 30-45 minutes after. But be careful though, the stone will still be hot after one hour after heating.
